  • I've been having trouble selecting Bumpy Terrain, when I'm running an evolution. I pause the simulation, but I'm unable to select any options and everything has to be evaluated on a flat surface. Halp!

  • @iliekchocolatemilk Sometimes those GUI windows start acting strangely (one of the few bugs I can actually blame on people other than myself, lol). Sometimes they won't let you type anything in a text field, or they won't let you select certain buttons, etc. I've found that the only way to get the windows to start responding properly again once they start doing that is to save the evolution, close the program, and restart it. A pain, I know :(

  • Have you fixed the "goal" and "water environment" options yet?

  • Unfortunately, no. :(

  • Is there any way to automatically make an organism gain bilateral symmetry or is it all through evolution? I've seen some people say it's possible but I have not seen the option :(

  • (sorry for the super-slow reply)

    Only via evolution

  • I'm going to put them in water just because you said not to.... Lol

  • i love this thing

  • i sorta made a fish it swam then vanished i see why creatures hate water :D

  • Hi officer (sorry, couldn't resist),

Sorry for the confusion, I wasn't clear enough in the video. The bit about maximum height coming after minimum height is not something that the user has to do or set. It's the way the program determines jumping height - it looks at the creature's height off the ground and subtracts the maximum from the minimum, but only if the minimum comes before the maximum. That just makes sure it's an upward movement instead of, say, a tall creature falling over.
