Why is this incredible artist now banned from Youtube? Multiple violations of copyright infringement. I cannot imagine that Joni Mitchell would have demanded this punitive decision.
In 5 years time, there will be no such thing as 'copyright'...get used to it.

what's up with emersonwells' comment? whaaat?? it's invalid. this singer is brilliant..she has a very fragile, tender and soulful voice which is soft but definitely not too breathy. it has just the right wispy touch of emotion and i can hear the lyrics quite well. if anyone besides joni did justice to this song, it's this singer here, Veronica. she also reminds me a bit of Jewel but is a lot more subtle and i think has great restraint and yet just enough expression.

It sounds more like she's orgasming than singing. The video's sweet but the singer needs to let the words give the emotion, not the voice. It takes away from it's true meaning.

The 1955 images of kids playing in the snow are lovely and nostalgic, though quite different in look and mood from what I've always imagined when hearing this Joni Mitchell classic. But Veronica's exquisitely beautiful voice could be set over an industrial film on the making of plastics and it would still be a masterpiece. There are 7 other River versions on YouTube (including Sara McLachlan and Mitchell herself) and none match the resplendence of this one.

the whole reason I did it to these visuals is to show exactly that point. Images of kids playing in the snow, even running in reverse, look beautiful when combined with her voice... :)
