great vid on how to. Question, does spraying with krylon all over effect functionality in anyway? Ive been thinkin of putting a camo job exactly like the one u did in the video, thanks again for that, just wondering how it held up or if u did anything to it afterwards?

@hajime21sac I covered all movable parts or took them out. And to be totally honest I would not do the barrel. Adding accessories later will scratch and over time the heat will have an effect on the paint. I did this one for a friend who insisted that the entire weapon be covered.

I'm looking to paint my AR.. What kind of paint do you think is the best to use? Also what parts need to be removed/covered during the painting?

@UGADTdawg71 I used Krylon. But there were some issues that I knew would happen. I did the rifle for a friend and he wanted to do the entire piece. The problem was/is that the paint does not still to the barrel very well. I wanted to do just the stock and reciever.... it would have been ok that way im sure. Anyway if you are going to do the etire rifle look into Duracoat instead.

Question: I noticed when you painted it you first did tan, then sprayed on the black with the stencils.. then after you're done you show it and the tan appears to be darker, almost a brown. did you mist it all with black to make it darker, or does it just get that dark when it dries?

@Metzgermeist It dried darker .. and some of that may be that the lighting had changed from start to finish too.
