So, judging from the video, the sound has a lower tone to it. Am I right? & does it make it loud, but not too loud?

well i have done 1600KM's on the bike now, still not sure about the debaffle, i like a deep sound.

Yes, I did it myself.
It's not hard if you get good tools

got my 08 M50 coming next week, They suggested at the bike store to leave it till it's first service before doing the debaffle :)

That's my advice also!
Wait for it's first 1000 miles or so, get it serviced and then think about debaffle or aftermarket pipes
