  • $720 a year... GTFO

  • @RoyalDragonusa Once I move I'm going to do the same thing. I had heard the new smaller one was in fact worse than the older one ...good luck

My first one blew the battery from over heating. I got a new one today... BRAND NEW, it's running very hot, and is slow. I have had it like 4 hours. This new one is having difficulty connecting to the 4g network too. I have to have it near the top of an outside window for it to work. Even then, the connection still cuts in and out from time to time.

Not on the road anymore, so I called comcast. I am going to go back to a hardline.

  • @RoyalDragonusa yeah it's crazy they just get worse.... now mine over heats a lot...

I have the same problem with my overdrive as well. My original one worked great up until about 3 months ago. It has been a steady degredgation in reliability since then. They upgraded me form the "Old" Overdrive to the new one, which looks the same only smaller 2 weeks ago. worked great at first. Now, same problems. 20 min to load this youtube, only the first 20 secs so far...dropped connections, random disconnects and reconnects.

My old air card (256k) was faster, and was reliable.

  • OVERDRIVE = OVERHEAT it suks

  • well heat in my opinion plays major role.i got 2 usb modem sticks the one cost me 40 euros and was made from zte.kept overheating and disconnecting after every 4-6hours.but since the speeds i got from 3g+ connection in my country were pretty fast i decided to go for a more expensive usb stick and so i bought huawei usb stick.cost me 80 euros but has been so stable.never overheats and never disconnects.same speeds though.so heat (which has to do with product quality and thus price ) plays role.

  • Had the mifi for a few days, kept overheating and shutting down. got the overdrive yesterday and it works just as fast and has only d/c once in 24 hours! more importantly unlimited 4g!! fuck verizon

  • Just pick up one today still testing it out
