In 1991 sixth Tibetan nuns fled Chinese communist regime in Tibet and arrived on the streets of Dharamsala, India, after a two-year pilgrimage journey over the Himalayas. The Tibetan Nuns Project (TNP) was founded to help these nuns. After almost twenty years, TNP has established two nunneries and assists four other nunneries. Today the Project supports over 700 nuns leaving in exile, providing facilities, health care and education. This documentary explores the history and the accomplishment of a project built through the strength and compassion of Tibetan women. Produced, Directed, Filmed and Edited by Claudia Fernandes. Thank you for showing us a glimpse of these insiprational lives. Here in Seattle, I'm seeing more products helping to fund the Tibetan Nuns Project.
