What the heck is a Ranger Band? It's a tire tube (usually a bicycle) that's used for securing loads to backpacks or webbing, for making handles more comfortable, for making slingshots and other projectile weapons, and for starting fires and signaling.

Add them to your survival knife or kit, your bug out bag for all kinds of different uses.

  • Nice vid, ive seen "ranger bands" for sale at quartermasters (i think) and wondered if they were any different then big rubber bands.

  • @astrialkil They're pretty much just big rubber bands.

  • Hey! Great Video! The multi-toll wrap! Brilliant! BUT! Please don't burn that stuff too often! even more inside!!! This stuff is BIG TIME poisonous and can be lethal! So for fire starter, use only as a LAST result! I would even try the fire bow drill before using that technique 9Unless in extreme emergency of course!! LOL!) But besides that! Cool!!

  • @Pascalou Oh, excellent point. Thanks.

  • I see a knife display case, I thought you ran a salvage/recycling business.

Branching out to knife dealer as well?

  • @sae1095hc Thinking about it. It's also a nice way to display what I've got.

  • Just wanted to pop in and say "well done" indeed. Never thought about burning them before but in retrospect it makes a lot of sense.

You could use 2 or more bands to affix a knife to a stick/pole to improvise a spear too, I reckon'. =)

  • too bad that smoke is completely poisonous

  • I bought the MTECH "Trail Master" knife. I need a good Sheath for it. Is that what I see in this video? Where did you get the sheath? Thanks, SCOUTS OUT!!!

  • In US Army RECON, We used PX Bungy cords & para Cord to attach stuff to our Rucks (ALICE Pacs) ...SCOUTS OUT!!!

  • Cool Video! Great idea, but highly toxic when burning! Bands are also great for sealing cans/bottles. Keep the videos coming!

  • you can put ranger bands over a zippo th waterproof it and also prevent the fuel from evaporating.

  • thans for sharing that

  • For added grip on stuff like machetes and knives, look at this stuff called "Rod Wrap". Works great.

  • @WCarroll91 dont make the same mistsake i did!
