  • Wow, when you titled this Vid "Cheetah killing a Thompson Gazelle!", you weren't kidding. The entire hunt and chase is missing xD

  • The hunt was so fast... we could not film it... but it was great to be a part of it and see it in real!

  • damn nature you scary

  • Wow so facsinating. I was so suprised after everything in the end the thompson was still kicking.

  • @michiganblkman

they are not TRYING to eat fast, they know lions and hyenas may come but they take their time, because even though its easier to chew the underbelly, its more nutritious to eat the haunches. and when it comes to nutrition, cheetahs a VERY picky!

  • Question. Why is it when wild dogs or hyeanas feed, they go for the soft underbelly to quickly disembowel to get to the nutritious kidneys and liver, but cheetahs go after the tougher hide on the hip area? If feeding fast is key for cheetah because of the risk of hyenas, lions, etc stealing their meals, wouldnt it be more efficient for them to feed the way hyenas and wild dogs do?

  • the cheetah is sucking the gazelle's blood at 1:34

  • @theblackcatofpb I've heard some claims that it's not strangulation, that the pressure of the teeth and such arn't great enough, whats happening is it's blocking the blood flow to the head and they die from that, not sure if true but something I read.

  • after watching several videos of african predators i notice they don't rip the throat apart like some predators do in America is the cheetah grabbing the wind pipe or what exactly is it doing cuz it looks like its strangulating it...?

  • That gazelle did not want to die
