  • You seem to be really favoring the C (E) string in this cover. Understandably, a lot of the song is played on this string but you even seem to favor the deeper strings in the chorus. The entire chorus is octave tap, but I notice you switch between octave tap and normal playing style here... perhaps this song would be easier if you just stuck to octave tap here.

  • man this was so long ago that even i think this sucks.. yeaa my chorus is all wrong.. you guys should check out andrewbattah's cover.. it's spot on.

  • i whole heartedly agree that it's a sucky bass (Samick).. it was really cheap about RM490 which is somewhere between 100 - 200 USD i THINK (i suck at conversions too :D) but the bad quality of sound is definitely due to the camera mic.. the amp i use is a Hartke which i really love.. saving up for a new bass now.. any suggestions for a good drop c metal bass?

  • warwick man, warwick

  • there's no warwick dealer in my country *sobsobs*

  • thanks for the advice.. i'll definitely be rerecording this one.

  • you play very good, but its proven - when you play Mudvayne, Fender is definitely not a good choice.

  • i have a squire p bass and i can play this and sounds shit, i recomend any other brand but fender for metal, seriously, rock is fine, but metal is abig NONO for fendah

  • Traben basses are great for metal. I'm in a metal band and i play a Traben Neo Limited. It sounds great, Really powerful and punchy with plenty of bite. It cuts through the other instruments enough to be heard which is great since the bass tends to get lost sometimes in metal. Its just too bad Traben is pretty much unknown and hard to find, but you can check out their website. ........and andrewbattah is the shit. his cover of Not Falling made me want to just quit playing, lol

  • Missing all the taps and the sound is way off. Looks like you play a fender which will never give you his sound. I love fenders if I want the Steve Harris sound. Keep trying you'll get it.

  • Yeah, I've seen andrewbattah's cover of this song and Not Falling (which is absolutely INCREDIBLE!). The guy is insanely talented!

  • † oh my satan T_T . . . sound failure †

  • ESP

  • Get a dean if you can't afford Warwick.
