Recorded on a Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000. i mentioned the logitech software causing the out of focus...musta been on drugs lol.

Couple things I missed: Docking Port(wont work with T500 and prior docks) on the bottom, 1MP Webcam, Wireless switch by the express card reader, a combo AUDIO headphone/mic port to the left of the DVD drive, an SD/SDHC/SDXC/MMC Card reader under the express card slot.

Here are the ports in summary:

2 x Hi-Speed USB - 4 pin USB Type A
1 x display / video - VGA - 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15)
1 x network - Ethernet 10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T - RJ-45
1 x docking / port replicator - 240 pin docking
1 x audio - headphones/microphone - mini-phone 3.5 mm
1 x PoweredUSB
1 x eSATA / Hi-Speed USB - 11 pin USB/eSATA
1x Express card 34
1x SD/SDHC/SHXC/MMC card slot

4GB 10600 DDR3 ram
1366x768 screen(not the 1600x900 one)

  • we all get these at my school (Chaminade STL) but im having trouble turning on the webcam

  • @HI276 Hey, you can usually check if the webcam is working by pressing the Fn+F6 keys. There is no physical switch or anything. You can make sure it's installed properly by going to Start Menu->Control Panel->Device Manager and look under 'Imaging Devices' to see if 'integrated camera' shows up.

  • how do you turn on the wireless for this laptop?

  • @miminguyenx3 hey! there is both a physical switch just under the 'express card' at 2:36 as well as pressing the Fn+F5 key will bring up various options once you are in windows.

  • just one question this laptop after lots of work stays cool or what?, fan noise issues or anything

  • @lbaquerizo this thing stays pretty cool. i used it pretty intensely when first setting up and loading it for the user, and it was cool and quiet. Didn't notice anything out of the ordinary from the r61's, and t61's. I have a Macbook pro, and not to bash it as it's a nice machine, but it is unbearable to keep on my lap when i use it. The battery gets really hot which becomes quite an annoyance, and it's not even under a large work load.

  • @Skrash3r im considering it, but on the uk site (lenovo) it costs so much :S here are the speccs im considering getting: i5 home premium 1600 x 900) LED Backlit Anti-Glare Display 2gb ddr3 (which im going to buy 4 gb for £24) intel 3000 320 7200rpm drive Bluetooth Intel Centrino Wireless-N 100 6 cell that including the 10% discount is £822 (which is roughly $1,326.21) There's one on newegg with optimus, same speccs but with 4 gb which is $1,249.99 shame they dont ship to uk it sucks
  • @oliverthedrummer Hey, I just got the 1366x768 because of price, was around $1100 or so for this laptop. The user it was for hooks it up on a dock to an external monitor, so it wasn't an issue to them. Def go for the 1600x900 if you can, so worth it to see more on the screen!

  • hey, i will be getting this laptop for uni. Is there a good reason to use the default 1366x768 compared to the 1600x900 ? or did you get it because its cheaper?

  • @schooluniform90 thanks for this, good to note! as soon as i took it out i thought it might not have been the brightest move lol.
