@newtubetubetube but if the attacker does have a knife or a gun there going to try to intimidate you so they dont have to hurt or kill you...thus they wont get a long sentence if they get caught...and what if theres just some asshole teenagers who feel like jumping someone? there just stupid teenagers...so they'll probably leave if you pull out a +6" bladed knife

@Chickenman9922 What you going to do if a someone, twice big as you, push you off? You will try to scare him off with your knife? What if he respond by pulling a gun and shot you in the face?

On the other hand, if someone attack you directly with a knife, you wont see it coming or you wont have time to draw your knife. It is best to fight empty handed then trying to get your knife while been stabbed.

If you know how to fight with knife, you know how without. Knives are not a self defense tool.

@newtubetubetube i carry two knives...one small knife for utility and another large knife for a "what if" self defence situation...and the attacker probably will have some sort of knife or other weapon...so even with training theres still higher danger factor...if you know how to disarm an attacker with a knife with another knife then you have a chance

@Chickenman9922 If you carry a knife you are better not pointing it at anybody unless you are going to die anyway if you don't. In such deadly situation, a knife is no good without martial training. If you train, you can defend yourself without knife. What good is a knife then? It is a every day tool, not a self defense weapon.

@Chickenman9922 If i ever come to a argument with a twit like you and he point a knife to my face i will kill him. No question ask, i kill him and go free. He made this a life threating situation, self defense apply so it wont be murder.

@Chickenman9922 The situation you describe only happen in prison. In the real world, if you carry you are more likely the be the asshole the draw his weapon for no good reason.
