Sonic 2 Super Speed Glitch

Make Sonic run and jump faster and farther than usual with this wierd Oil Ocean Act 2 glitch.

Note1: When bouncing off the spikes, you will usually land on another set of spikes partially obscured by the purple launcher. Don't worry, as the glitch has still worked, you just need to jump away before the temporary invincibility fades.

note2: The effects of the glitch wear off if you;
1) jump beyond the top of the screen
2) run beyond the edge of the screen
3) perform a spindash
4) hit a spring
5) push a push spring
6) enter a checkered ball launcher or large purple launcher
7) die

Incidentally, this also works with "Knuckles the echidna in Sonic the hedgehog 2", with the added bonus of being able to glide really really fast.

I actually discovered this quite by accident when I was a second grader. Good times.

I found this on accident many years ago, as a child, and felt like I was on to some sort of super secret. Of course the glitch always backfired on me because Sonic ends up running a little too fast, resulting in my death
