It's funny how americans proclaim to be the first democracy and carrier of the mantle of democracy, while at the same time you only have two puppets to vote for. That aint no democracy that's a biocracy. Electoral vote is an acient form and no country ought to be ruled that way. Look to europe where democracy is at least in the hands of the people.

Actually the only reason Obama is popular is because he uses buzzwords. Obama just labels himself a progressive and puts "Change" on all his posters but when it comes down to it he fails on the issues.

It'd be awesome if we withdrew Israeli subsidies, and built high speed rail ($250B for 13,000 miles - one time cost, plus maintenence) - airline fuel consumption would decline and food/commodity prices would drop as their transport did.

Everyone bitches about the 2 party system but they continue to perpetuate it by conning themselves that they need to vote for the lesser of two evils. 3rd parties will become viable when enough people vote for them that they make a serious dent in the votes of the 2 parties. Voting 3rd party won't bring change today, it will be a long process but it is our best shot at real change outside of revolution.

Well you can hope till you're turning blue and unless you elect Nader (or the likes of

Gravel/Ni4D) you will get more of the same only many times magnified (quicker than you can say "what happened").
