I have the originalAustralian 1989, Turbo in red and grey two tone factory paint. It is a great performer. Have a hybrid turbo to go on it next week. stock IHI VJ14 on the exhaust side, original, and Subuaru F11 on inlet side, 30% more boost and bolts straight on.
Cant wait. These things go.

I have a 1991 Mercury Capri, I keep it in strong mechanical order. However the water pump seal just wore out, and It's a real pain in the but to change out because you have little clearance and you also have to remove the timing belt. But it is what it is, and it's worth it. I wish my non turbo would accelerate like you turbo capri though.

you still driving it, or trying to sell/part it out... i recenently snapped a door handle on my driver side, and my rear bumper came with a dent when i bought it... it met a median not to long ago also, and one rim had to filed... but none the less it is still a little beast... had it up to 122 on and empty back highway on weekend and it drove like it a cloud lol!
Besides all the bullshit above... Nice capri.. I have one, and it's the shit...

Thanks...I had this car listed on eBay last fall, and I took this video to show how smooth the engine was, and posted a link to it on the auction. I thought it would turn buyers away if I beat the shit out of it for a faster time. BTW, it didn't meet reserve so I kept it.
