@z28kindaguy but the Titan 5.6 puts out 385 lbs. ft. of tq., vs. 327 for this engine

Toyota, if you can make this exact same motor have 380 hp in the Lexus LS460, why cant it have 380 in the Tundra? And the 4.0 needs a 6 speed, and the 5.7 could have over 430 hp if you really tried. Btw, BOX the frame. (now, I dought and Tundra devekoper will see this!)

This 4.6 @ 317 puts out as much as Nissan's 5.6. Nissan really needs to step up with their Titan!

@ecastellanos but then you have the problem of finding rice for it to run on.

I mean Jap truck not gap

@ slapaho silverado maybe considered the best but what else would you expect to here in the usa.... Bias is a part of our culture.... I owned a gmc Sierra before this and I would write home about it, as far as frame twist dodge and chevy have the Same issue maybe not as bad I will give you that. But did you see the test that they did the only time you would encounter that is if you drove off the road and were about to be in a roll over accident. And yes maybe the silverado and fords can haul

@henson3260 wow i wonder if its been rebuilt 5 times cause tundra engines dont last from what i seen, you just think since its toyota its the longest lasting well thats a load of crap the pickup with the most miles on original engine is a 1.1 million mile chevy from the 90's still being used today now transmissions dont last as long because they get stressed out alot more but he went through about 2 or 3

@Loudensll last time i checked the silverado/sierra and ford f150 are the best trucks, tundra has many problems with it like for one the frame twist and rust out, the spare tire will fall off, the cams snapped, engine sludge at low miles, and many more problems, and silverado/sierra and f150 pull more then this piece of shit you call a truck a jap truck is the biggest joke and if toyota is the best why dont the make a heavy duty huh? cause it wouldnt even be able ta compete

That's because it's got an Isuzu Duramax diesel. Isuzu is partly owned by Toyota and Toyota is also getting a diesel for Tundra soon. Are diesel Silverados more expensive then petrol ones?
Some people keep buying Ford F-150s because they're easier to finance. You need a better credit score to buy a Toyota or Honda.

I highly disagree about the Tundra being the best 1/2 ton on the market, but that's your opinion. Everything factual says otherwise. Everyone has their opinions I guess. Little faster time in straight line performance doesn't mean much either, just bragging rights. Must be nice at 19, to somehow have enough money to buy an 08' double cab tundra, and build an offroading f-150.
