Michael C. Ruppert Discusses COLLAPSE

Michael C. Ruppert discusses the collapse of the world as we know it in the documentary COLLAPSE directed by Chris Smith. On Friday, November 13 fans of his From the Wilderness blog turned out for an update on his doomsday predictions for planet earth. Ruppert announced that his controversial book about greed, peak oil, the economic crisis, a call for sustainability and other ideas for a successful new world order will be re-issued with an update in December, after which time he will focus solely on his music and songwriting with his band New White Trash. I've seen the movie! realy a pissimistic movie but none the less extremely realistic. I am now researching this...and believe me people it is not looking good. Our world needs changes, BIG changes and sry guys this may choc you but capitalism just DOESN'T WORK! learn this! know this. anyways, yes there is a collapse coming(real soon) and all who thinks that capitalism works, will have a big surpise...a rather nasty one..sadly. Human beings/life are what's important, not money, oil or the ego...

@hangingoutdude Totally true. I think the problem is governments being selfish and not caring about others. If we all cared and loved each other we would have a lot less problems. We wouldn't be selfish, we'd share, we wouldn't have wars and we wouldn't have shortages of resources. I think we just need to manage our resources better.

Nuclear Power and Hydrogen Fuel Cells are the way forward - On both energy sources his argument was very weak and dismissive. Sure we still need oil to make a lot of stuff, but if we are not burning it then we have more than enough to last until the end of the century by which time another synthetic material will hopefully be in production. Until then we can recycle plastic and become more frugal in its uses.

More worrying is the change of power from the West to the East over the next decade!

The US recently kicked off a trade war with China, which is already escalating into a currency war. Remember a few years back when Russians were burning Rubles to heat their homes? Well, believe it or not, that hyperinflation was due to economic warfare between Russia and US. We had the upper hand then, but China’s holding an ace or two now… and they’ve got the support of Japan and (understandably) Russia. This sucks, but what goes around, comes around.
