999 calls

Recently, a British police force, in an effort to stem the rediculous flow of pathetic non-emergency calls to the 999 service (much like America's 911, or Europes 112), released a selection of some of the calls people have made. These are those calls.

It would appear that there are some pretty stupid and mindless people out there... every needless call to the emergency services could be costing someone their life. One might be ashamed to be in the same country as these people.

It's hard to tell if these people are taking the piss thus wasting the emergency services' time or they are genuinely so stupid that they don't know what 999 is for. Human stupidity knows no limits so it's impossible to tell....
