A slideshow tribute to my Mom's life. The first song ("Coney Island Baby") is about her usual hangout in summer and where she met my Dad, her busband of 59 years. The second song "Sing, Sing, Sing" is 40's "Big Band" (Benny Goodman did a famous version) and was in the show "Fosse" on Broadway that my Mom loved. The last song "Happy Trails" seemed appropriate and was written by Dale Evans, ("The Queen of the West"); my idol from the 50's since I grew up watching the "Roy Rogers Show"..a woman that I loved and still admire.

  • seems she was a hellova woman, and gorgeus too,

  • Thank you for your comments about my video about my Mom. I apologize for not replying sooner, I was so busy caring for my 17 year old cat who just died from cancer. I miss my mom more than I can express, but sooner or later we all pass into another life, so I know she is having a blast in heaven with all her WWII friends and family that is gone too. God bless and thank you again----Barbara

  • bj: thanks for the comment--my dad died too about 3 months ago..I'm still grieving over that loss too. but, knowing God has a heaven waiting for us makes me believe that what Mother Angelica said one time on her show (EWTN--catholic channel) is true "the day you die is the best day of your life". that WWII generation--they were really something! God Bless....
