Oncologist and author Dr. Robert Buckman admits that many doctors are not good at delivering bad news to patients. His own brush with serious illness, (dermatomyositis) has helped him empathize more with patients. He is also a big believer in using humour as a coping strategy. His autobiography is "Not Dead Yet".
