Thank you so much for your fast replies- very much appreciated. I have looked for hours at reviews and decided to start asking what cameras others are using and if they are satisfied. My brain started hurting!

@momapes hi there! i purchased a batch of cradled wood panels (awesome sale- reaally awesome.) from cheap joe's art supply online. i also use wood from the lumber yard, recycled wood and pretty much any hard surface i can get my hands on.

Mys- what do you use as a support to paint on? Is it a manufactured panel or a cut piece of lumber? I like the way you are using the papers for your under painting. I have lots of papers & am using them on large canvas to get rid of them- I have too many from my card making days!
Really great to have you share the process, thank you!

Oh my gosh, Mystele.. when you put black on her face, I said "nooooo". It was already perfect to me. I'm curious.. did you not like it the way it was? So interesting. I'm one of those artists that loves an area on my work and get attached with it.. but that's me.

@judysheart LOL! i know- it is hard to tweak things. if you remember, i felt like the face was missing something, and the pitt pen just didn't have any weight to carry the face in this particular painting. so i went to my tried and true acrylic paint to re-build the face. i try not to get too attached to the painting until i really feel like the story that is being told is as authentic as possible. it's hard, though to keep "me" out of the way!

Also, what is the video cam you use? I'm looking for one that does great up close work IN FOCUS & can pan out for a larger view. I would also like one that the screen turns around so I can see what I'm doing from a few feet away for my 6 foot canvases on the ground where I work- hope that changes soon! Any recommendations? I asked Tam (willowing) & hers is a $500-$600 camera. I would like to keep it around $200 but that might be impossible..... Mo

@momapes yes- i use a jvc everio GZ-MS120ru. my model is phased out i think, but there is a new one and in the right price range. it's not the best out there- do a pro and con comparison before you buy! but i do like it. when i upgrade (not anytime soon!) i'd like to get an HD camera. a girl can dream!
