Absolutely correct. Rangers have different missions from seals. I already had 44+ weeks under my belt in training before I was even selected for a ranger (tryout) slot. R.I.P.class 883. But remember Army blackhats train all department of defense for airborne be it Army, Airforce, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard or N.A.T.O. approved service members.I love them all. In BUD/S only 3rd phase is weapons & tactics and is all basic, so a ranger has more knowledge on ground warfare. SQC for is a compilation of training to include desert and winter survival which Rangers also does but not at ranger school. Ranger Recon Detachment are qualified in SCUBA and HALO. Also Rangers usually are already proficient soldiers before attending the school. SEALs training is longer because most sailor come from technical jobs or civilians so they need more training.

SEALs and Ranger's are completly diffrent their mission's are totally diffrent you can't really compare the two. Also Ranger's can go to scuba to be on the Ranger reconnaissance team you have to be Scuba and Halo qualified. Both go threw tuff trainng you can't say ones better when you haven't gone threw any of them yourself.
