Tail of the Dragon

Join us on our trip to Deals Gap and our journey up the Tail of the Dragon" on 30 July 09. Deals Gap to Tabcat Bridge, 318 curves 11 miles! Count the curves, experience every mile from the motorcyclist POV.

Weather sucked with moderate rain showers and light fog. Video of the actual trip up the "Tail" is 3x actual speed. Don't try 60 mph on the Tail! The video was taken with a Tachyon XC helmet cam, attached to a custom handle bar bracket and positioned forward of the windshield. Excuse the occasional rain drop on the lens.

u would be retarted if u were to drive a car their the lanes are very thin put a sigh up bikes only we need some roads 2 us find another way arround

The Dragon was just one of many stops I made during my 1 week 2100 mile motorcycle trip. The roads all around that area were just as insane.

Hey Kendall!!! Great video. That road is insanity!!! should be a driving instuction course. I used to live in Maryville...spent alot of time on Alcoa Highway...
