I always thought the intent was obvious, but apparently not ... the song is quite sad. It's about a girl who has just gone through a break up and overdoses because she's sad and lonely and misses her ex. She wakes up in A & E (the backless dress is a hospital gown) and hoped that maybe he'd stop by and see her ... but he never does. He never even calls to see if she's ok.

It still amazes me how some artists simply aren't huge on the far side of the Atlantic...Goldfrapp is among them.

She/they are so consistently wonderful, and one of the best things going in pop music...and have been for over a decade now.

It's good to see and hear this song video after so long!

Although, seeing the video like this, it's easier for me to see how much (in a little bit) is actually added or combined in post-production editing from green (or blue) screen.

I bought Seventh Tree when I was really young, listened to it once and shelved it. Roughly one month ago Youtube recommended that I listen to 'ride a white horse' and since then I have rediscovered my love for this band and this album in particular. Seventh Tree is a truly fantastic album and A&E is frankly beautiful. More of the same please Goldfrapp!
