**Technical video, not a cover**. If you are not into keyboard technology, you are allowed to skip this video :-)

As some Youtube users requested me, I shot some Emax basic operations, specially the ones I use to do more often.
This is the first part, showing the Emax I focused on allocating samples, copy/paste and related. Also, showing how to create a new preset loading different samples from the floppy drive.
Video edition is quite amateur, so I apologize if you find some random jumps. Also, my english is not good, apologies for it.

  • thx a lot for your effort and that youre doin all this in english so a lot more people in the wold can get some information about this beautiful mashine :) peace

  • It's great that nowadays these old keyboards can be found at really low prices second hand!

  • Dont you think about emulator of this slow flopy disk drive?

  • Great great thanx fo this vid!

The amazing thing is that I had a Roland sampler it was the s 550 that was made in 89 and was the brain of the Roland W30. As I am watching your vid more and more similarities are became clear such as the 12 bit thing also the 2 samples for each key thing was the same in the Roland s550 sampler so it was the same with the W30 (?) And I know EMU was first and the Roland and Akai just later with their samplers.

  • Regálame uno de los Emax!... aunque sea roto y sin arreglo!

  • I worked with a EMU Emax II back in the day, the module only. It was mono only I think, but back in 1995 it was the shit :)

  • nice vid. thank you

  • Great Video, do you work with Novation KS 4 ?
