This is my second engine. Design target is to make very simple engine. Swept volume - 40cc. The engine demand for high power, simple candle is wery low power source. Design and implementation cost - 2 days.

  • Friction is high because all moving parts are made from steel. All parts are heavy, I wanna this engine to be hard to break, but it turnet to be hard to start :((

  • Can't you make the tube shorter? That length of tube just creates unnecessary dead space.

  • it looks funny with all the moving parts but i think that is a weakness, and a power loss.

    i think u should have the cylinders in-line so the force of power get closer to the center.

  • Nice little engine! I like the Ross yoke mechanism - I built one in the Philippines in the early 80's following a diagram from a book on steam engines, before it was known as the "Ross" yoke. How's the friction in your engine?
