This is my first RC heli project to use a micro-controller. It links your governors rpm sensor with an on-board glow igniter like Switchglo to eliminate any physical interaction associated with turning on your glow plug!
Just power on the heli, and crank it over when ready. Other novel features include an initial glow plug condition check when the receiver is powered on, hot start disable, and low idle speed glow assist. It connects to the throttle channel only with a custom "Y" harness so no extra control channels are necessary.
The original idea came from my buddy 2LTime, with feature input from Rstacy and Nroof. I made a few extras to share for just $20 including the harness and shipping- message me to get yours!
