Travels in the Scriptorium is best read with his other books in mind so you may get the references that so many reviewers missed. I thought Brooklyn Follies was excellent, and also enjoyed Oracle Nights-the tangential taking dimension to it especially, tho maybe this is what a lot of people didn't like about it. Bought Moon Palace but haven't read it yet. My favourite is Country of Last Things- always intrigued by dystopian writing. Heard it might be/or is already a film.
