  • This piece of video from some interviews with Pletnev,

    So Pletnev says:

There, in this room, the piano, to which I am very reverently, I'm afraid too complicated and noisy things to play on it. (Here, a girl, ha ha), God forbid such a rarity as it hurt ..

Female interviewer .- Yes, you were playing when lyricism of Tchaikovsky, and Horowitz played-Rachmaninov, which you now so often mention...

    Here Pletnev begins to play..

  • OMG...

...now, if someone would be kind enough to translate from Russian to English...it'll be SO awesome!

  • @lsde520 Yes, he almost plays November: Troika.

  • 3:00 Horowitz = What would you like me to play? Rakhmaninof?

  • Translation from me I m not good in english sorry

In this hall , at this piano , to which I am a little in awe , im scare to play too dificcult and loud pieces ( on it ) ( because its quite old maybe XD)

    - did you play Lirical Moments ( or something like that ) by Chajkovsky and Horowitz played Rachmaninoff to you which you mentioned a few times today

  • @Bitteneindanke Hey yeah thanks for the mention of Tom. I wish I could just look at music and sight read! Lol.

  • @zachattack19942 Yea, there are a lot of Sight-Readers out there! Search for Tom Brier on YT - He's pretty amazing, too!

  • Is he instantly sight reading!? Holy cow!

  • 3:00 , is the melody from seasons of tchaikovsky's works?

  • What i love so much about this video is that at 2:10 you can see that Horowitz (the only true musician in the room) is as bored with Pletnev as I am, and continue to be. He has the imgaination of a piece of wood.

  • Two incredible talents meet. Precious video. Thanks!
