To keep the paper from curling while painting, I stretch watercolor paper on wood stretcher bars. I then transfer the image using either a light table, a projector or even the window.

  • this was good, but slowed down at about half would be nice!

  • Hey Guys - Real quick - do you know anyone who is really good at water colors - that would love to color for a children s book? Please get back at me by personal messaging me!~

  • Hi, Nathan. Thanks for posting your method. I've been looking at videos on paper stretching & your's is unique. You don't use a panel, that keeps it light weight & lets you trace, very nice! It looks like you paint inside the hole made by the stretcher bars. Is that so you can work with it on a flat surface & not punch through the paper? Also, what do you use the tape for at :11? Lastly, what's the suitcase looking thing in the lower right corner of the video? 5 stars for cleverness!

  • yu made a canvas
