@thecoolestdad Never a great singer...had a few good songs. I always laugh thinking of a particular story Greg Kihn told about Eddie Mahoney.
-
@grosper That´s Gary Pihl, Sammy Hagar's guitarist, now playing with Boston
-
Who is the guitarist on the second solo?
-
Man, I love Eddie Money! Suck it, you naysayers...

Clapton knows just a little about the blues (maybe he did actually fall down on his knees at those crossroads); though Neil Schon is one fine player himself.
-
Never have liked Eddie Money.Don't care what any of you think!

Eric Clapton couldn't make it but he received an instructional DVD from Neal on how to play the blues baby!!!!!! ROCK ON SAMMY!!!

Where has this stuff been?!?!?! Why does it take youtube to bring this to light??? this is the best of real, live rock-n-roll. I've always been a huge Sammy fan, and this is a testament to how he has always been very imprompt, spur of the moment, just wing it and see what happens. Hagar, Schon, Money, et.al., all on one stage, this audience got a real treat, and probably didn't realize it at the time. Rock on! \m/
This video is from the Bill Graham Archives now held in Wolfgang's Vault. First Neal came out at the encore and he and Sammy did "Rock Candy." Ronnie Montrose had shown Neal Schon the chords while Ronnie was the middle act on Journey's Infinity tour. When Eddie Money and his guitarist Jimmy Lyons joined the jam, they did a cover of "Gimme Some Lovin'." I had invited the guys to close our 10th Ann. show with the kind of great live moments experienced at Bill's shows over the years. Cheers!

@LobsterTheDJ HEY IT"S THE LOBSTER!!! Howdy Ho! Good 2 here from U, man. I still have that weird robot poster from this show. We have sat @ shows together @ the Old Waldorf. I don't remember which, but @ 1, Buck Dharma of B.O.C. sat across from us. I Did not reconize who I was talking 2. Obviously, he was checking the place out. A month later they played as "Soft White Underbelly" @ $9.00 a ticket when all other gigs there were no more than aprox. $6.50. Anyway thanks for dropping in. Sub me!
