@xT3: IMHO It's very much worth it. X3TC and X3Rb are going to be very different games - and at that price - it's a steal. Even if you only enjoy it for a few weeks - it's deeper entertainment than most video games made today IMHO.

@ chegalha & lovewizard44: I honestly haven't had a chance to pour over AP yet (I really hope to this weekend - maybe even make a new vid.) As long as it hasn't changed, weapons works the same as in my later tutorial on weapons configuration / combat. Quick answer is press "G" to pull up config, click on slot 1 (or 2 or ...) and insert weapon. When firing, make sure you have the right bank selected (pressing 1-4?) and the weapons should be slightly illuminated on the bottom left of your scrn.

@Jellybeantiger: It's really easy, and a lot of fun, once you get the basics down...

@cyber: I never could enjoy playing the X games using a joystick. If you have one, I'd recommend at least trying it and forming your own opinion, but I enjoy the game very much with mouse control. If you're REALLY into storylines and stuff like that, I'd recommend starting with an earlier game like BTF. If not, I'd jump straight to X3TC as it has the best content, graphics and sandbox play out of all of them IMHO.

@Riddley313 One of the things I /had/ to get (even though I can't even get the damn game to work for me [thus me being here]) was a mod that lets you sit in the cockpit. It's EXCELLENT. I like being in the cockpit in games like this.

Hi Dave, like many others - Thank you so much for these videos - I'm slowly making my way through them ( both watching and in X3 time too ) and they are invaluable ! They made my first experience of WTF ?! into a sensible, understanding and thoroughably enjoyable experience of X3TC. Thanks for making a lost pilot into a budding space hero ;-)

So would you recommend any must-have mods for this game? Ship / weapon / complex management and AI scripts seem pretty limited even with the bonus package installed.
