I read the PS1 was better at 3D but the Saturn was better than the PS1 at 2D graphics as the Saturn was originally intended to be a powerful console for 2D games. I guess this is why 2D beatem ups looked better on the Saturn.
@LockardKevin I'm pretty sure that was the only sound that was missing. The snes version played slightly slower than the genesis version. This bothered me, IMO the gameplay was better on the genesis, especially with a 6 button turbo controller. But i must admit it did look better on the snes. Saturn version beats all though, that system was designed to be a 2D beast
The thing about the Sega Genesis and Sega Saturn version of MK2 that always bothered me was that some of the sound effects were different. Like Shao Kahn didn't say the fighter's name at the character select screen when you picked someone (which bothers me a lot for some reason), etc., etc. The SNES version was a lot closer to the Arcade version.
