@bolder2009 Yes i agree with you. I'm sure they will do him justice in the biopic. Another great biopic was I walk the line. Joaquin phoenix gave a great role of the late Johnny Cash. Wonder when the Jeff buckley movie will come out. Its supposed to be later in the year but i havent heard if they have started filming yet or not, they better get on their bikes soon.

@Crazycupmuffin Well let's hope she's right because he is going to have to carry the whole movie. He'll be in most of the scenes. If he is not compelling, the whole movie will fall apart and the reverse could happen. Ray Charles was rediscovered by a new generation because of the incredible performance of Jamie Fox in Ray. Billie holiday was introduced to a new audience by Diana Ross in Lady Sings The Blues. Those are the best musical biopics I know of which had an impact on a posthumous legacy.

@bolder2009 couldnt agree more. With the amount of live stuff by Jeff I feel it could have a place where the ipod is concerned. And James Franco would have been the sensible choice as he is a more well known actor, but going with Reeve was the best choice in terms of music as he is an incredible singer songwriter and Jeffs mum picked him over James when she seen him play with his band. She believes theres a bit of Jeff in Reeve and I think people are going to be surprised by this young man.

@Crazycupmuffin However, as its already been green lighted, lets hope his music will be discovered by the ipod generation. I don't know how if it will really have that much of an impact, but Jeff's music and genius deserves more than a cult following. I feel they missed a trick, by not casting James Franco for the role of Jeff. If they ever made a movie about Nina, I feel they would fail to capture the full breadth and complexity of her life and music.

@bolder2009 Glad someone else noticed this. I know Jeff listened to Nina all his life growing up because his mum listened to her. And your spot on with the chanel spiriting thing lol especially at 1:50. Theres a big hollywood movie coming out next year all based on Jeff Buckleys life. Singer Reeve Carney has been cast to play him. Cant wait 4 that hopefully it will be done right so that people can see how much of a nice person and musical genius he was in his short life. Peace dude :)

@Crazycupmuffin I hear it as well. That man channeled spirits.

This is a traditional Irish Ballad (written about scotland). Listen to christy moore or cara dillon to get an idea of how it originally sounds but the song is about 100 years old
