At Outdoor Retailer Summer Market (2007) I spoke with Rick Taggart, new president of Victorinox Swiss Army in the U.S. Rick was presient in the late
90's and early 2000's, which saw a surge in innovation and a focus on the knives including introduction of the SwissTool. Since then they seem to have lost their way. We asked Rick what the future holds for the Victorinox Swiss Army Knives.
He took a viable, profitable business and through intimidation, lack of respect for clients and employees and bad business practices, ran it into the ground and was responsible for putting nearly 70 people out of a job.

Just be glad you never had to work for him. I have never met a worse manager in my life. He has no respect for his employees and treats his management teams like they are in 5th grade. He constantly degrades his managers and employees and it is an absolute joke that he is now the Head of the marketing department at Mesa State College. In the years I worked for him, the marketing of the company was absolutely non-existent.

Hey it's Rick Taggart, the Grand Junction man. Liked him as a CEO and loved him as a teacher at Mesa State.
