Phillips spots a sampan and orders an inspection over the objections of Willard. Initially reluctant to board the boat, Chef impatiently searches it; one of the civilians makes a sudden movement towards a barrel, prompting Clean to open fire and kill nearly everyone on the sampan. The civilian concerned about the barrel, a young woman, lies dying. Chef discovers that the barrel contained the woman's pet puppy.

@ARomanianKid14 Are you retarded? The reason so many bullets were expended was due to the nature of modern squad tactics which employs a lot of covering/ suppressing fire. The point isn't to have a kill per bullet or magazine of bullets, but to suppress the enemy with fire while your other squads perform flanking manuvers. This maximizes the kill ratio, which was amazing in 'Nam. We lost 58,000 men, and the NVA and VC over 2 million men. Do the math. Bullets are easier to replace than men.

I'm a pacificist and all, but if I was thrown into a situation like this and I saw this girl running towards something what I think could be threatening, I would shoot her. It's got nothing to do with being an arsehole and all to do with survival. I'd be shit scared and feel as guilty as hell afterwards, but I'd keep doing it coz you never know one of these times she could have a gun and shoot me and my friends. It's about survival of the fittest and I certainly wouldn't take any chances.
