freshly rebuilt 6.2 diesel. test running before installation in restored 87 K5 Jimmy.

trying to figure out the thumping sound through the intake.

6.5 turbo system & injectors
bored .020 over
new pistons, cam, bearings and rings
ceramic coated pistons shaved .020
main girdle and head studs
new heads
gear drive timing
fluid damper

  • one exhaust rocker was not contacting the push rod properly. the rod the 4 rockers were mounted on had a slight bend. swapped it and runs smooth now

  • i removed the original ac box and have one here for an s10 truck. just need to fill the old mount holes and drill new ones as they don't line up

  • i'm not sure which turbo it is. there's no id plate on it like other gm-x turbos, just a serial number

  • do you have AC? did you get that engine in your engine compartment despite the AC box?

    Great work on that engine!

  • that engines gonna make some power. once that sound is figured out. what turbo is on there? the head sheild doesnt look the same as my GM-3
