I once had the same type of Gas mask, also, that machine gun had definatly had much better days!

After WWII most of the original blueprints and designs for manufacturing MG42 had been stolen from German weapon producing factories by workers who were forced to work and bulk of these plans eventually ended in Yugoslavia. So, technically speaking, there's no difference between these two weapons.
