  • Well, the idea that species gradually change over millions of years due to variations and mutations is a fuck of a lot more plausible than "omnipotent being who was always there poofed them into existence".

  • HEY GUYS I HAVE AN IDEA

LETS ARGUE ABOUT IT IN THE COMMENTS OF AN UNRELATED YOUTUBE VIDEO

  • if god gave things the ability to evolve, it wouldn't make him evil. and it would show that he can create self sustaining life. It in no way denounces his ability to create, it just tries to explain how his creations change with each other. I don't see why people would think it's evil

  • Why do you believe so strongly in what you believe?

  • I know Im not being lied to because God is not a liar. God's word is true and we know this because its dripping with truth in every aspect.

Yes, Im reading your comments so I must be "listening" to you.

Yes, I immediately shoot "them" down and with good reason. Anything else I can shoot you down on?

  • No, God doesn't give things the ability to evolve. That would make God evil and a cruel creator. On top of that it would be saying that God wasn't omniscient that He couldn't man fully formed as He wanted.

Your arguement there is a logicall fallacy not unlike the star light agruement. Denouncing the whole concept of God's properties as creator. To say God has to evolve us to get us to where He wants us to be is absurd... He said let there be light not ... ok now im going to wait for light.

  • @Uaz31

it isn't a lie, its a theory that hasn't been disproven.

I don't care if people think we were created by god, but maybe god gave living things the ability to evolve.

I don't have a beef with god, I just think your religion's description of him is questionable

how do you know you aren't being lied to, have you ever actually listened to someone who disagrees with you? or do you always immediately shoot them down because you've been told what to think is wrong?

  • Because its a lie, saying something is a fact when it is not is a lie.

On the same note why would you care that people aknowledged that were we created by God not by means of evolution?

Being that science is nothing more than the exploration of God's creation your real beef is with God in general and has nothing to do with science or personal opinions.

Personally I don't like being lied to nor living in a world overshadowed by lies so that I can somehow feel more comfortable in my sin.

  • just to add a point... the theory that a species can become other species is not fact, but it has not been disproven either, you have your evidence and they have their evidence. therefore you cannot say you know you are right. treating a theory as an impossibility without enough evidence is just as bad as treating it as fact without enough evidence. But I ask: does it really even matter if species have the capacity to change? why do you even care that people aknowledge the possibility?

  • also, the notion that evolution is a religion is for lack of a more appropriate word, retarded. a religion is a system of beliefs meant to teach people how to live their lives. evolution is a scientific theory that attempts to explain ONE natural process: adaptation, it isn't meant to do anything else. I don't blindly believe in evolution, I just find it to be the best attempt at an explanation

  • lack of a known mechanism does not disprove its existence, you should know that. We know there is no known mechanism but simply saying god made everything the way it is and killed off what he didn't want to exist is a lazy way of explaining it and does nothing to further knowledge. next time you talk to a microbiologist, talk to one who DOESN'T already agree with you, trust me, they exist.
