good set of videos but I had trouble finding them on youtube because of the title home recording... I did a search for "reaper" and didn't find these. I only found a link on the reaper forums.

How can I record track by track with metronome while it is continuously looping. Just like some other professionals do.

For both of your questions I recommend to visit some forum - REAPER has nice forum. About VSTis, the same... Google was my best friend here (plus again, Reaper's forums). I use Native Instrument free Kore/Kontakt players and their free soundpacks.

when using midi how do i get the sounds to record through my midi that are on reaper already...couldnt understand what you said

Sorry, I don't exactly understand the question. Midi track doesn't play on its own, you have to add VSTi (or other insturment) into FX chain. That's what makes the sound. Or you can route the midi out of your computer into external synth and play/record audio from that synth... there are probably more ways, I use only VSTis.

I just don't save with effect. This way you can always change your mind later and change effect. If you want wav or mp3 with the effect, use File/Render. That way you can get your result.
