You are doing really good but you should really practice long tones. I remember when I started playing oboe its was hard but now I'm first chair oboe in concert band 1 with a scholarship to Julliard. So keep working at it.

I play oboe hey u should email / message me if u got any ? hey push ur sholders back a bit and it doesnt ristrict ur air . ur great always try to to controll ur pressure and compression too cause ur a little sharp there

for all the people that hated this video u suck because she 12
u need to practice more longtones. it will better develope your tone and sound quality. and it will help build your embechure. i could tell your mouth was sore at the end.

I'm an oboist as well and this would be my 6th year playing oboe. I wanna share a few tips for any beginners who read this: If you find that your mouth is getting sore during a performance, try your best to keep playing until you reach a rest. When you hit the rest, take the reed out of your mouth completely. Remember, a rest is a time to "rest" so why keep the reed in your mouth because that requires energy from the mouth, get it? Also, to prevent soreness, practice more to build up the muscle
