  • Lloyd George is the greatest prime minster of all time, in fact he is the greatest leader of any country in the world in history. A legend.

  • @LongliveSnak2e 1. Lloyd George withdrew his support from Hitler before WW2 started

    2. He was not an antisemite

    3. He did not lose the UK millions, that was Woodrow Wilson (who was a cunt)

  • When my brain visualizes an Englishman, he looks like a young David Lloyd George. Which is odd since he's Welsh (okay, not THAT odd)

Undoubtedly the most stereotypical-looking Brit of all time.

  • He looks more tanned than I originally thought.

  • @john3000931 He really does :P

  • Fucking english idiot...

  • he doesnt sound welsh!

  • This is incredible. At only one and a half minute this speech and this man completely captivated me. I have heard audio speeches of Lloyd George in the past, but never seen him speak on film; the effect of WATCHING him is very different; i can totally understand why he is considered one of the greatest orators in history.

  • @BritishTrekkie952 Yeah, Churchill wasn't very good at public speaking until he met Lloyd George. During the people's budget speaking tour in 1910, Churchill would listen to Lloyd George unleash his devastating energies of oratory and it inspired him.

  • @TheLiberalKnight I agree. David Lloyd George makes — particularly those of us of Welsh extraction — proud.

  • @UsagiDreamsReturns I have a bit of pity and respect for Chamberlain. If the late 1930s had been prosperous and quiet he wanted to reform the education system in Britain, and probably could have. His decision to push for "peace at any price" was not totally dismissable (Churchill would later say that Chamberlain's failure actually was a plus for the Allies by showing they really wanted to maintain the peace, unlike Hitler.
