This is from a show called "The Disco Top 10" from the late 90s, EW&F was voted no 6. As we know they were much more than that! (In fact they did only 2 disco tracks! "Boogie Wonderland" &" Let's Groove") Phil Bailey & Nile Rodgers are interviewed.

  • I really don't think putting a band in

the disco category is bad, tho some of

it was really bad, bands like EW%F was

one of the best that took it to another

    level.

    Great clip.

  • This is bullshit. Earth, Wind, and Fire was NEVER EVER EVER a disco band!!!!! They were a FUNK/RNB band. There's a difference between funk, RnB, and disco, amd EWF was NOT disco. Just because EWF released "Boogie Wonderland" doesn't mean that they're disco. I hate it when they bunched all black bands from the late 70s and early 80s as disco. I think that racist if you ask me.

  • The interviewer or narrator needs his ass kicked. He said Philip Bailey's collaboration with Phil Collins was "Terrifying". Man, I don't know about the record sales numbers, but that album is the BOMB!!

  • Earth Wind & Fire rooted in many genres of music Jazz/Latin/Rock/Soul/Funk. K C & The Sunshine Band now that's a disco band!!!!

  • @nick7477

    How is that racist?

  • Are The Rolling Stones a disco band because they made "Miss You"?

  • @youvebeenthunderstru It's not disco!

  • They are not a disco band LOL

  • Earth Wind & Fire the best band period!

  • It's not that serious! MUSIC IS MUSIC!

  • How did we go from being professional musicians of legendary creativity and innovation to rapping non sensical lyrics and making music videos where actors simply hold instruments and feign performing. How did get to a point where we now accept what is synthetic over what is real?

  • i agree "lets groove" is not disco
