Yume Nikki Gensou Playthrough Part 1 - Entering the Dream

Feels good to be back in the driver's seat on YouTube. After a few issues with finding a new way to record stuff, I'm back in business and ready to play.

This game is Yume Nikki Gensou, a spinoff of the popular indie game Yume Nikki. Instead of exploring the vast and surreal dream world of our heroine Madotsuki, this game is more of a Metroidvania style game, where you explore an interconnected area that expands as you get upgrades. Along the way, we'll meet many denizens of Madotsuki's dreamscape, as well as hack-n-slash 'em all!

Despite the game is only in Japanese, it's fairly easy to understand and play once you get the hang of it. For the first part, we enter into what seems to be Poniko's home, which is suddenly a LOT larger than it looks on the outside! What mystery awaits us in this enchanted castle-like structure...?
