The first thing one may notice when getting acquainted with their Chartreux is the almost absent use of voice. The more common sounds they make are chattering or chirping noises, and purrs. Much of the communication of Chartreux is by eye contact and body language.Chartreux often exchange "kitty kisses" with their owner, blinking their eyes while looking at you.

  • Yay my cat is a chartreux

  • My cat is some sort of mix, but she has many characteristics of the Chartreux: the plush double-coat, the barrel-shaped body, the intense eyes.

Unfortunately, she did NOT inherit the absent use of voice. :/

  • Wow, your cat looks just like my boy Cheese. Cheese has beautiful green eyes. He doesn't really meow, he tries to but all that comes out it a squeak and sometimes what sounds like "bleh-eh," it's so funny. Thank you for sharing!

  • Don't invite a cat for dinner! :) So cute!

  • A new meaning for "Cat soup"!

  • ohmyguh Nelli is like, "Draw me like one of your French girls."

  • a pot of catsup
