@WolfSoul89 What? A K9 has more accute hearing than a human? Sorry were not all as slow as you. Go familiarize yourself with Herr Doberman and what he was trying to achieve with the breed. Ear docking is a function thing not a style thing. Youve never endured a little pain in your life for your own good? Go have a look in the Human Societys dumpster after euthanasia day.

@Tarten46 humm...whut? ...anyway..you know the dogs can listen more than humans?? and...more intimidating?? I don't think anybody who is face to face with an angry dog who shows his teeth care to much if they have or not longs ears...so yes, they feel pain, and if is just for "style" is incorrect for the dog

@WolfSoul89 we had them both ways, a docked ear dog is able to pick up sound better and the master can tell from what direction a threat comes from as the k9 cycles those ears and processes sound. pain? didnt seem to faze my girls at all, especially since i was three and pulling at the bandages while crawing all over my best buds. besides, theres nothing more intimidating than coming face to face with a docked ear doberman that is fully "locked" on to a problem.
