  • What is your real name...or name at the time you cheered? I enlarged that picture and I dont see your name on it and dont think the girl you indicated was you. I knew the 1/2 California Girls and the players personally...dont remember you.

  • I mentioned my real name in the video (which I shouldn't have, but oh well) .....and you are? Please view the video response to this and you'll see a clearer picture of me. Thanks :)

  • Loved the video Kaya. I'll do a bit of online searching. One thing you should do on ebay is enter "Sacramento Surge" into your "My Favorite Searches" and click to be sent and email whenever anyone lists anything with that either in the title or in the listing description. That way you wont miss anything should it be listed.

  • I did a search on e-bay but I didn't think to save it on my fave searches. I'm going to do that now. Thanks hun!

  • Yeah go Surge. too bad about the psycho stuff. I have the entire set of trading cards, me and my friends got autographs from the cheer leaders. My friends dad announced all the games in sac and he might have stuff. e-mail pizzae at myspace to get his name

  • Cool! You may have one of me in there somewhere heh. I'll e-mail ya thanks!

  • I have a brand new Surge t-shirt. Bought it at a Woolworth's store. Also have a complete set of World Leauge trading cards from 1991.

  • i actually still have a couple hats and a jersey from the surge that i cant seem to fit anymore lol but i remember them well it was really cool to have a "pro" football team in sac

  • I still have some WLAF Proset trading cards lying around.

  • I only missed 2 home games during both years and loved the Surge.. I was so disappointed that Paul Tagliabue put the kebash on the North American teams, then sometime later, the European teams too..

  • The Gold Miners later moved to San Antonio and became the Texans of the CFL and played for 1 season.Wish it would have lasted, hopefully the UFL can make it.

  • The Surge became the Gold Miners of The CFL. Same team. Same owner. Players as well. Two teams from the WLAF were going into the CFL Sacramento and the San Antonio Riders. Riders did not.

  • The Surge were not later known as the Gold Miners. They were two different teams in two different leagues. The Surge folded when the WLAF folded and I believe became known only as the WLF. The Gold Miners were a team for the CFL after the the Surge folded.
