Oskar Schindler's Krakow Office & Factory

Oskar Schindler's office in his Krakow, Poland factory with a view of the factory and in the distance, the site of his subcamp of the Plaszow camp. Over 1100 Jews survived the Nazi Holocost by working at this factory. Parts of Spielberg's movie Schindler's List were filmed here.

The factory is at ulica Lipowa 4. From the ghetto area and Ghetto Heroes' Square (many chair sculptures in rows), carefully cross the street (use underpass), go up Kacik street, under the railroad overpass, and continue on for 2 blocks. It will be on your left. Yes, there are guides to tell you about the office and museum there and some events in the factory itself.

The address above is right but the factory is closed at the moment (end May 08) it is undergoing a major refurbishment to make it in to a full blown museum
