Check out Origami Bicycle Company for some interesting folding bikes. Thir Crane model is only 24 lbs. and folds up nice and compact and only costs $289.00

I have a Dahon. It's a steel frame, 3-speed internal hub, pedal-back rear brake, front v-brake. The rest is same as this. It's a useful bike but these are my problems with it: steering feels weak because it's long. Doesn't roll as well as a normal bike. Feels a little like a clown bike. 3 gears is only just ennough for this type of bike. A normal size bike is better if u don't need a foldie. More suited to smaller, lighter people. It's a good bike tho if u need a foldie!

@kantha95 Nice, that's a good distance for a commute. I used to ride 16 miles round trip when I was going to school. Make sure you set a good schedule so you don't get burned out and be sure to eat a little extra to keep your strength up. Have fun commuting, the Mu P8 is a great bike for the job!
I can't get the magnets to stick :( Should I lower the handle bars b4 lowering it to the wheel?

@Auntkekebaby Yep, that's the way to do it!

Do you know, whether you can use more comfortable tires on the MUP8 (without fender and carrier) like "Schwalbe Big Apple-50mm"?

@wertgbn I think so, the Schwalbe Supreme tires it comes with are 42mm wide so it wouldn't be much of a stretch. Because Dahon folding bikes use V-brake style brakes they have excellent clearance for wider tires. -Peter

@nycewheels Thank you for your answer!!! Meanwhile I could find a biker who uses the -Big Apple 60mm- on his Dahon MU XL Sport. Not perfect (about 1mm between frame and tire). But 50mm should be no problem.
