Psychiatry Drugs Foster Care Children - Andrew

I took my video camera to a Foster Care Alumni meeting and asked seven foster kids to tell me about there experiences in Child Protective Services while wards of the state.

One thing they all had in common was massive over drugging with psychiatric drugs.

Child placement agencies, foster parents, RTCs (Residential Treatment Centers) and Therapeutic Foster Homes get paid a certain amount of money each day for taking care of a foster child. The amount of money they get paid depends on a level of care system. The more difficult the child or the more problems that child has, the more money you get.

A child at the basic level of care is worth about 17 dollars a day where as a child in the highest level of care could be worth as much as a 1000 dollars a day. This puts the incentive on diagnosing children with behavior problems to justify raising their level of care. A child on psychiatric drugs is worth more than a child without problems.

It is not uncommon for a foster child to be placed on many different psychotropic drugs at the same time. Some investigations have found children on as many as 13 mind altering drugs prescribed by a psychiatrists at one time.

These drugs include all categories of psychiatric drugs; antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anxiety medications, anticonvulsants medications, etc.

The SSRI drugs are commons such as Paxil, Zoloft, Prozac, etc. Also a number of these children described taking Risperdal, Zyprexa, Geodon and other new generation antipsychotics which have been linked to weight gain, obesity and diabetes.

Good for you for telling your truth. You have extraordinary intelligence and spiritual strength and I was impressed by your video. I am so sorry about the pills you were made to take. In the good old days if a kid was running all over the place & bouncing up & down we called

them children...Healty,Normal Children.

Seems now medicated & leaning in a corner is what people want.

Don't even have pets if your the kind of person that thinks this is ok.

if none organize, and speak out TOGETHER, then they can go on conducting business as usual. we as the parents of our children have the responsibility of PROTECTING our children. they are lying to these children, and manipulating them through the use of drugs. organize, and nationalize, people. put an end to this, or all we have is a bunch of videos, telling horrible true stories, while the racket and abuse continues to the children. you do have rights still though they dont like to tell you that

seeing as our government is at a weak point, we need to use that to stop this. all of these channels, and videos, we need to all put our stories together, and make one big huge public class action suit to stop these people. attention to their racket is what will stop them. hurt the wallet, bring the beast down here. lets make such noise to make it all national, and MAKE someone pay attention to this evil entity, and its atrocious actions toward our children. they are our future, or so i thought.

My children were taken from me thru cps. and yes now they both are on five different medications. cps doesn't provide any support to these children when their parents rights are terminated my own experience because my children were adopted through the foster care system.

Wow! I didn't know about any of this. I'm glad that you have these videos. I'm really passionate about children and their life experiences. My goal is to work with non profits who help orphaned children, abused children etc. I also want to make documentaries so this really gives me a new area to research.

@IronicallyVague yeah well remember weed is actually very exagerated about I consider weed closer to alchaho then I do a drug I consider it in the alchahol category but any other drug isnt worth it cause they're ACTUALLY addicting haha
