What I have tried to do here is faithfully recreate Glenn Miller arrangements.
I have transcribed the original arrangements by listening to the old recordings.
The result is here - a MIDI-file which I have revoiced using the
amazing Tyros 2 instrument sounds.

This is A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square.
Originally sung by Ray Eberle. Here I have a lead trombone playing the melody.
(You wouldn't want to hear my singing voice.)

Use headphones for the best listening experience.

Hope you like it,
Tyrosaurus

  • Thank you very much, your arrangement/sequencing is great, are you prepared to distribute or sell your midi files?

  • @ricmid Thank you so much for your kind words.

I'm afraid I feel that I have put too much work into them to do that.

  • This is simply fantastic! Glenn Miller's arrangements are so awesome....nobody else's version has ever managed to capture that essense of Miller but your recreation has....well done!

  • @MusicalSmiths Thank you so much! I'm overwhelmed by your kind words.

Getting feedback like that justifies all the time I have spent

    recreating the arrangement :-)

I have already 2 other recreations of Miller arrangements uploaded,

and I hope to do more soon.

You are right his arrangements are awesome, so it's a fun job to do.

    Best regards,

    Tyrosaurus

  • Nicely done!

  • Thanks a lot. I tried my best to get as close as possible to the original arrangements.

    Glad you liked it.

  • Very good! I've been a Miller fan all my life (56 years). Very close.
